How is it that no matter how hard I try Christmas always seems to sneak up on me! With basketball, work, and school I just totally forgot about christmas this year until the very last second. Dont worry everyone who is reading I got all my christmas shopping done and am all ready for tomorrow morning. We drove to my grandmas house yesterday and part of the way today in arizona. We have not been here for Christmas here for 7 years... haha you would think that a 12 hour drive would not deter us from coming so much! Alright so two days ago my mom turns to me right before my basketball practice and said: "so are you packed for Arizona?" So that was when it hit me that Christmas is soon!!! Well tonight I hit another wall that I did not see coming, I woke up and thought ok ALLIE YOU ARE REALLY STUPID ITS CHRISTMAS EVE TODAY! Alright how did I over look Christmas eve haha wow everything that goes on christmas eve crazy. I will post tomorrow about how Christmas day goes I am pretty sure it will be amazing!

Defeat
The feeling of defeat really stinks! Riding a wave of wins and being undefeated was the life! O wait back to reality we are able to loose... Practice all of a sudden is more running drills, longer conditioning periods of time, and no one on the team wants to relive last night again. Our next games are Taylorsville and Roy two very tough physical teams and we are ready to take it to them and win! No holding anything back in these games we are better than them and will show it on the court on Tuesday and Thursday! We all need to have the mind set of its not the name on the back of the jersey or the number but the name on the front! DAVIS that should be who we are playing for not for us not for who has worn our numbers before us but DAVIS HIGH! Every team needs to be humbled once in a while and this was our one and only time for this kind of a defeat. Play every play like its you last and who knows it just might be.
Jordan Pendleton was an amazing example of this, he played every down like it was his last and one day it was. Not from an injury on the field in front of thousands of fans like many football players will do for a carrer ending injury but in practice and just playing through it for 2 or 3 weeks then finally having to surrender to this injury! He played every down like it was his last all 4 years he played for BYU! If you be like Jordan you will find success even if its not how you think it might be that you are a good defencive player or a good shooter or a good person for mismatches but you need to help out where ever!

BASKETBALL
The next thing in my life just came up! Basketball started on Monday! We got a new coach this year and I love her so much, she played the same positions as I do and so the posts are getting a lot more attention and she ran us way hard the first two days but her methods have started making more sense. Getting in such better shape! Yes I am so excited I might play varsity, it all depends on the practices between now and the season. I am very confident that I will get in some of the games though! If not varsity I will probably be starting JV and that is way exciting for me!
The seniors are good and that has been something that we have not had in a couple years. Last year especially the seniors did not play at all so our team did not do to well but now that we have all had the experience of playing at that level we know we can do it! From the time of volleyball tryouts until now I feel like I could have done a lot more with basketball but now I am devoting all of my time to basketball!
Is Allie recording every BYU basketball game on her DVR? why yes she is! Those guys know how to play so well and every time I watch a game there is more things that I can do! Always learning is the best way to go in sports!
I got a wrist band from my Jimmer camp this summer that has the letters IWC, I wont cheat! Not only in school can you cheat, you need to be able to look back at your life and say I did everything the right way! If you did not get every honor or do everything you wanted to you can look back and say you did it the right way so the other stuff does not matter!
Our shirts this year are very cool but my favorite one is a goldish color and on the back it says "BAND OF SISTERS" for all of you that don't know BYU football one of the big things that Bronco is pushing is "BAND OF BROTHERS." We need to do everything right so we can trust each other to catch everything we throw at them not only in the gym but also outside of the gym. What good is a team if you cant trust them with anything that you have in your life, you need to celebrate there rejoices and there sorrows with them and help them get over sad things in there life and the happy things cant make them take their eye off the goal.
No matter what you need to be behind your friends and family in whatever they are doing! When people take the time to care about you individually it makes you feel very special and so now you need to return the favor!
I made the BASKETBALL TEAM and it has taught me a lot and we are only 4 days into the season! wow how crazy will everything be that I have learned by the end of the season! THIS IS GOING TO BE SO MUCH FUN!!! I will definitely keep the blog updated on games and what is happening! Please Comment and tell me what you think!

The craziness I call my life
My life has been like the craziest time ever. Between work, basketball, school, and BYU football I have been running around like a chicken with its head cut off. Work has been good, its busy and there is always customers that keep me thinking and on toes because they are so crazy. Then there is also those people who are just so funny or ridiculous that it makes me laugh. Some of the people I work with I really don't think they like me all that much. Its kinda weird when I get scheduled to work with them its kinda weird because it gets way quiet and aquard for sure. School has kept me supper busy at home. I am in 2 college classes and 2 AP then 2 regular classes. Homework is very deceiving, it does not seem like its a lot but it takes so much time. At least 2 1/2-3 hours of homework every night, I REALLY HOPE IT HELPS ME IN COLLEGE! Then BYU football takes up my Saturday afternoons or all day! My whole Saturday revolves all around BYU, we make it a huge family affair. Well that has been my crazy life for the last while!

This Month
So this month has been very busy for me! The first week I was in California just laying out at the beach almost everyday. It was a lot of fun I have to admit hanging out with the family was a lot of fun for a week. We came home on Sunday and the next day I was off to volleyball tryouts in the morning. Well I did ok that day as far as volleyball comes. It was a lot of fun being with all of my volleyball friends again but it did not feel the same with out our seniors from last year they were just so much fun to be around it was weird without them. So Tuesday were the second day of our tryouts and we found out if we made it or not and I did not make it this year and this was about how it went. We don't have space on our team for you this year because so many jr's are coming back from last year(which I knew from the beginning). Allie you did so good and you improved so much from last year. One thing I really wanted you to improve from last year to this year was your talking we could not get you to talk last year, but this year you are talking all the time! I love seeing players improve so much like that and do what I want them to do in my head. You really have done everything we wanted you to do you have been perfect in the ways you got better.
Alright now its me talking again. So I walked out of there way pissed off and mad but in a way that was more like alright its over but I am still mad about it kinda way. I drove the long way home so that I could think about it before I saw my mom and little sister. When I got home I just did not want to talk about it so I told them I was over it and I went to show houses to my aunt with my mom to show that I was "fine". While we were driving around my old club volleyball coach called me because I texted her to tell her about getting cut. She made my day and at that point I was ok with talking about it because it had been a while since it happened and it had kinda sank in a bit. Well that call was really good for me because it kinda got off my chest what I had been holding in because I didn't want to talk to my mom about it. The rest of that week was ok after that tragic day in my life. I worked a lot that week on Thursday I worked the matinee then Friday I worked the night and Saturday I worked a double which was so tiring! We also went up to the school to change my schedule and now I probably have like the hardest schedule ever if I pass all my tests at the end of the year and do well in all my classes then I will have 26 college credits after this year. Man it makes me tired just thinking about all the homework I am going to have this year! Well this is also me saying good bye to my social life this year because I will not be able to handle a social life, basketball, work, and all these classes so the social life was the one thing that had to leave. So that brings me up to this week Monday I worked the night shift so I had some fun there and today I had to babysit my sister all day so it was kinda boring but tomorrow I am taking my sister Rachel to school and then later in the day I am going to go to my old club coaches school and kinda help her with her volleyball tryouts for the jr high it should be a lot of fun to be with her again. Well that has been my life for this month so far just catching everyone up on it! Please comment on this telling me what you thought about my CRAZY life!

Jimmer
Alright so this last week has been so amazing you could easily debate it was the best week of my life! So I went to Jimmer camp this week!!! Now if you know me well anything to do with Jimmer I am all about and I will do it without questions or complaints. Monday the first day of Jimmer camp I really just cant control myself I was going crazy!!! On our way there I could not stop moving I was so excited about what was to come this week! We got there and met our teams, there were two girls from Canada on my team and it was good because one of them was just as big a fan of Jimmer as I was! We got along great and at the end of that day we went to take a picture with him and we both like ran to get next to him! So he put his arms around us for the picture and that was like the best thing ever. Right after he talked to me and this is about how it went...
Jimmer: Hey whats your name?
Me: Allie
Jimmer: So have you liked the camp so far?
Me: Yes I have loved it!
Jimmer: So basketball is your life right?
Me: Yes its my whole life!
Jimmer: Good because its mine to! (Then he turned and shook my hand!!!)
O my so that conversation no matter how small or seeming to be insignificant it seems to be was like the best thing that had happened. Right after we went to have a talk because it was the end of camp that day and it took all I had not to hyperventilate right there. So right after the little meeting I left to go get lunch and that's when I hyperventilated in my car and I called my friend still I was hyperventilating while I was talking to her. So then Tuesday was a pretty normal day nothing really to note in this blog but now I am only going to tell the things that happened instead of each day describing what we do. So while I was there Jimmer watched me do this competition and I won over a guard and it was a competition that a guard had a huge advantage over a post(me). So when I won after he gave me a bro hug, you know what I mean not a real hug just a bro hug like football players kinda. Then he also gave me a signed picture of him! It is so amazing I am framing it and putting it in my room!
Also I went to the mall with my cousin Bethany after camp one day and it was so much fun. Now I know what you guys are thinking right now, what does that have to do with this amazing week right? Well while I was trying to find Bethany because she was already there and I was meeting her I walked around a corner and saw Brandon Davies walking around the same corner. I spun around very quickly to look and see if it really was him. Yes yes it was him but he was to far away for me to ask him if I could take a pic with him. Alright so Brandon Davies is like my favorite post who plays in college so when I saw him it was kinda like everything that happened with Jimmer but not as much! I went and told Bethany all about this little encounter and she was mad that I did not ask him sooner to take a picture with me. When we were done at that store she asked if we could go ask the Verizon wireless place if she could get her upgrade for her phone so I told her that was fine with me. So while I was sitting there waiting for her to talk to the people I looked into the Mr. Mac store that was right across from where we were and lo and behold who did I see, Brandon Davies! So I stared at him for a while and I am pretty sure he noticed me but I really did not care because I was so amazed that I was just in the same mall as him(yes a little obsessed but not as obsessed with him as I am with Jimmer)! So after I told Bethany and she made me go in and take a picture with him, which I am glad because I would not have done it on my own! So I also got a picture with Al Fredette Jimmers dad and I was actually really excited. I heard TJ Fredette sing and I was so excited because I listen to him all the time! That was my amazing week in its fullest!!!

WORK
Alright so yesterday was my first day at work. Let me tell you working at the Kaysville theater is very busy to say the least.
CANDY COUNTER
One word to describe this part of my job CRAZY! Right before the movies start we have so many lines for about 30 min then for 2 hours we do nothing. You really get to know all the people you work with. I think I will definitely have to work at getting good at doing the candy counter but I hope it comes quickly.
TICKETS
Tickets seem way easier than the candy counter, but they are way more important than the candy counter. You have to give the money to the film companies. So they don't really let you do it at the beginning.
That is the bulk of my job! We do lots of other stuff to that contribute to the success of the movie theater but with this all said. I have a pretty fun job! Cant complain about this one, being able to do it with sports is very nice also!

Its been a while
Alright so it has been a while since I have posted so I will tell you what has been going on in my life. My sophomore year has been full of excitement! I was on three sports teams, volleyball, basketball, and track. It kept me very busy after school everyday, I only went home two days of the whole school year.
Volleyball was very fun we took 3rd in the state tournament with a tragic loss to the people who would become the state champions. A lot of sophomores were on the team 16 in all which was a lot of one grade for a team! It was so much fun our team bonded really well together. One of the best things was our seniors were really supportive to everyone and they were very good leaders! There was only three of them so they were like all captains. They were good examples of how to interact together.
Basketball was so much fun! I knew most of the girls because we have all been really good friends since we were little playing jr dart basketball together. We all get along so well and hang out all the time even out side of basketball. I learned a lot from basketball that I think i missed from volleyball because we did not win a lot of basketball games I learned a lot about losing. Its hard when you loose but I only got one loss with volleyball. So in basketball there was a lot to learn about being a good looser and how it felt to loose.
Track was just something I tried this year. Our group of throwers was very tight and we liked each other. It was not as strict it was very laid back and very fun. The most drama occurred in track because all of the boys made a bunch of drama for the girls.
At the beginning of the summer I went to a volleyball camp! It had been a while since I had played volleyball and it felt great to get back on the court. This was very fun to be with all the girls again. Then at the end of the week basketball started. We did the Weber tournament that weekend and that was a fun time together. We went to SLCC basketball tournament and the UTAH tournament. These were very fun to do!
EFY was the next thing that happened to me! It was so much fun!!! We got to be so close as a company by the end. Our girls were very close and we had a love for each other. By the end the boys were really good to all of us girls! It was very uplifting and was very good.
This has been my summer so far! Its been very good and very fun!
